Enduring presence. The thought or sensation that stays in the mind long after the moment has passed.

Work with presence doesn't need to shout. It can still stop you mid-step and change the room, the way a butterfly does.

Sensation.

People feel before they think. Color, texture, rhythm, words, light, sound. I design for the feeling first.

Endurance.

Trends fade in a season. I make things that still feel right years from now.

Story.

Every piece has a reason behind it. The story is what people carry home.

Hello, I'm Maria

The things that stay with me are almost always tied to a story or a person. I print pictures of special moments. I keep handwritten letters. I love reminiscing with the people I love about the times that made us feel something. And I notice the little details, like an unexpected name card or a personal touch that made me feel seen. The moments where there's no doubt someone thought of you while they were planning. I want to make work like that.

MEIA is a name only my small, intimate circle has ever called me. Giving it to this house was on purpose. Meia is my baby. I don't want to make things that are just fine. I want every project to have a reason and a story, and to make someone feel something real.

If it carries my name, I believe in it. That's the only way I know how to do this.

MEIA is a name that never left my home until now, and this house is my baby. I put my name on it because I only want to make things I believe in, things with a reason, a story and a feeling that stays.
